Every week starting Friday, November 13th, Al'Tarba will mix his talents with those of a beatmaker or rapper, for a hybrid experimental collaboration composed with 4 hands, mixing their styles and sounds.
Due to an immune system to the image of our economy - too little performing - the French cultural scene has been feverish for several months. No gatherings and few clearings on the horizon, it's as many concerts less to warm up the greyish atmosphere. But somewhere in France, you can still hear the sound of certain machines breaking a leaden silence. In a studio-laboratory that looks like a "Cabinet of Curiosities", where crazy ideas pile up on so many dusty shelves, Al'Tarba and his instruments are running at full speed.
Certainly, the album "La Fin des Contes" will have to wait for better times to embrace its impatient audience. But determined to find the antidote, a handful of die-hard rappers, singers, classical musicians and beatmakers, all brought together under the aegis of the scientist from Toulouse, are currently working on the ingredients of their new serum. With a simple objective in mind: to propose a series of hybrid and highly innovative collaborations.
To do so, Al'Tarba has unquestionably moved away from its distinctive universe. Without ever denying the salt that makes his incantations still resonate today in a world at half-mast. During several weeks, regular takes will reveal hybridizations of styles composed between sharing sounds, ideas, loops of samples and voice recordings, in the manner of a Cabinet of Curiosities containing a thousand and one unusual objects. On this winding road, Mounika and his melancholic lo-fi hip-hop on the track "Le jour", but also the elusive rapper Yous Mc on "Animal étranger", or Aguirre and Promethée, who will support Al'Tarba in a vibrant tribute to ska and punk rock culture.
High Tone, L'Entourloop, The Artchitect, Tcheep, Degiheugi, Roger Molls, Kognitifs, Clozee and many others will also take part in this experiment. An experimentation in which the melancholy of a past world and the dreamlike flights of hope of the next world will coexist together, and which will lead, once the clouds have dissipated, to the release of "La Fin des Contes", Al'Tarba's second solo album on I.O.T Records.
