The 11-track opus is woven from two opposing yet intertwined tendencies: slow compositions with droning textures (tracks 1, 4, 7, 9, and 11) reminiscent of NONKEEN (the side project of pianist Nils Frahm), and more rhythmic pieces with shifting elements and moments of silence (tracks 2, 3, 5, 8, and 10) evoking PLAID.
