A few seconds of '20' are enough to clear the doubt: this is indeed a new track from Mounika. There's a familiar nostalgia that emerges from the stacking of drum beats and reverberated voices, the feeling of being wrapped up in the same atmosphere that already transported us within the French producer's fluffy universe, on ‘Tender Love’ or ‘Cut My Hair’ - to mention only these ones. The nonchalance of the first seconds was however misleading... there is indeed something new, a vocal signature, hoarse and raspy, to come and break our certainties, by revealing one: it is definitely Mounika's.
What is this place where Carl & TJ wake up? 'I think we've been forgotten', we can read on the cover of the single. Obviously, the two friends have no more answers than the day before. It seems they were left on the side of the road, having only to be guided, with careful steps, by the muffled voices rising from the rainy clouds. Amongst these, we can make out a few scattered words by way of clues...
